Common questions
Why does LIC mention ears when other exams do not?
LIC’s wording is "your eyes and ears can be clearly seen", where SBI, IBPS and NABARD say only eyes. In practice it means do not crop so tightly that the ears are cut off, and do not let hair or headwear cover them. It matters because LIC matches your uploaded photo against one captured at the exam centre.
What is the IRIS scan LIC mentions?
At the Main examination LIC captures your photograph and your left eye IRIS, and matches the photo against the one you uploaded. You are asked to remove contact lenses and prefer spectacles for that. It is separate from this upload, but it is why the uploaded photo needs to actually look like you.
Is the LIC photo size the same as IBPS and SBI?
Yes — 200 × 230 pixels at 20–50 KB across LIC, IBPS, SBI and NABARD. The signature, thumb impression and declaration sizes match too. The one thing that differs between them is the handwritten declaration wording, where SBI uses a longer text.
What happens if the photo is in the wrong slot?
LIC states that if the photo is not uploaded in the photo place, admission to the examination is rejected or denied, and the fee is not refunded. Check each of the four uploads before submitting.
