LIC handwritten declaration
The exact wording LIC asks for, and a resizer that lands your scan at 800 × 400 px and 50–100 KB.
What the form actually requires
- File size
- 50 KB to 100 KB, JPG / JPEG
- Dimensions
- 800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 × 5 cm)
- Language
- English only. Any other language makes the application invalid.
- Handwriting
- Your own. Written by anyone else, the application is invalid.
- Ink
- Black OR blue ink on white paper. LIC is more permissive here than SBI and NABARD, which both require black.
- Not capitals
- A declaration written in CAPITAL LETTERS is not accepted.
- If you cannot write
- Visually impaired candidates may have the text typed and place their left thumb impression below it, then upload that to the same specification.

The exact text to write
The same wording IBPS and NABARD use. SBI's is different.
“I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Replace the blank with your own name as it appears on your application. Write it in one continuous piece, not as a list, and keep it inside a strip roughly twice as wide as it is tall.

Common questions
Is the LIC declaration the same as the IBPS one?
Yes. LIC, IBPS and NABARD all use the same two sentences, reproduced above. SBI does not — its version adds your date of birth and a closing sentence about the signature, photograph and thumb impression. If you are applying to both, write two separate declarations.
Can I use blue ink?
For LIC, yes — its guidelines say black or blue ink for the declaration. Note this is unusually permissive: SBI and NABARD both specify black. If you are preparing one scan to reuse across banks, write it in black so it is valid everywhere.
My scan is over 100 KB.

Why does my file end up under the 50 KB minimum?
Handwriting on white paper compresses very efficiently, so a clean 800 × 400 scan often lands well under 50 KB and the portal rejects it for being too small. This tool pads the file up to the floor so it satisfies both bounds.
