- SBI advises keeping about 8 printed copies of this exact photo. You must paste one on each call letter and hand over two more at every exam — and they have to be the same photograph you uploaded.
- Live capture as well
- Separately from this upload, SBI asks you to capture a live photo through your webcam, or by scanning a QR code with your phone. That one is taken inside the portal — there is no file to resize.

Common questions
Why does SBI tell me to keep 8 copies of the photo?
Because the printed photo has to match the uploaded one at every stage. You paste one on the Preliminary call letter, carry two spares to that exam, then repeat for the Main exam, and more are needed at document verification and joining. Candidates who turn up without the photo pasted on the call letter, or without two additional copies, are not allowed to sit the exam. Get the digital file right here, then print several from the same file.
Is the SBI photo size the same as IBPS?
Yes. SBI, IBPS, LIC and NABARD all specify 200 × 230 pixels at 20–50 KB for the photograph — they appear to share a recruitment portal. The signature, thumb impression and declaration sizes match across all four as well. The handwritten declaration wording, however, is not the same at SBI.
The advertisement says 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm and also 200 × 230 pixels. Which do I follow?
The pixel figure. The centimetres describe a standard passport photo; the upload validates against the pixel dimensions, so that is what this tool outputs.
Can I wear spectacles?
Yes, provided there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted. Religious headwear is allowed as long as it does not cover your face.
Which SBI exams does this cover?
These specifications are taken from the Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) advertisement, and SBI uses the same upload guidelines across its clerical and officer recruitment, including Probationary Officer and Specialist Officer. Each advertisement can still add requirements, so check the one for your post.
