Common questions
What happens if my exam-day signature does not match?
SBI states plainly that the applicant will be disqualified. This is not a formality — the signature you upload is reproduced on your call letter and compared against the attendance sheet. So upload your natural, everyday signature rather than a careful one-off you cannot reproduce under exam pressure.
Why is 140 × 60 such a small size?
It is roughly 2.3 by 1 centimetres — a wide, short strip, which is the natural shape of a signature. Crop tightly around the writing before resizing; leaving white paper around it shrinks the signature itself, and an unclear signature can get the application rejected.
My signature file is under 10 KB. Is that a problem?
Yes — SBI enforces a minimum as well as a maximum, and a clean signature on white paper compresses well below 10 KB. This tool pads the file up to the floor so it passes both checks. Most compressors only handle the upper limit.
Can I sign in blue ink?
SBI specifies a black ink pen for the signature. Blue is permitted for the thumb impression, and LIC permits it for the declaration, but for the SBI signature use black.
