Common questions
Why was my signature rejected?
Two common reasons. Capital letters are not accepted — it must be a normal signature, not your name printed. And IBPS rejects anything smudged or blurred, which usually comes from photographing at an angle or in poor light rather than scanning.
Does my signature have to match anything?
Yes, and this one is easy to overlook. IBPS states that if the signature you give on the attendance sheet or call letter at the exam does not match the one you uploaded, you will be disqualified. So sign the way you actually sign, not a neater version of it.
Can I use blue ink?
The guide specifies a black ink pen for the signature. Blue is allowed for the thumb impression, but not here.
Why is 140 × 60 such a small size?
It is roughly 2.3 by 1 centimetres — a wide, short strip, which is the natural shape of a signature. Crop tightly around the writing before resizing; leaving white paper around it shrinks the signature itself and IBPS rejects miniature ones.
What else does IBPS need?
A photograph at 200 × 230 px and 20–50 KB, a left thumb impression at 240 × 240 px and 20–50 KB, and a handwritten declaration at 800 × 400 px and 50–100 KB, plus your 10th certificate as a PDF under 500 KB. There are pages for each of the image uploads on this site.
