IBPS handwritten declaration
The exact wording IBPS asks for, and a resizer that gets your scan to 800 × 400 px at 50–100 KB. Written in the wrong case or the wrong language, the whole application is invalid.
What the form actually requires
- File size
- 50 KB to 100 KB, JPG / JPEG
- Dimensions
- 800 × 400 pixels — that is 10 × 5 cm at 200 DPI
- Handwriting
- Your own handwriting, in English, black ink on white paper. If it is written by anyone else, or in another language, the application is treated as invalid.
- Capital letters
- NOT in capital letters. IBPS states this twice and rejects declarations written that way.
- If you cannot write
- The guide allows the declaration text to be typed instead, with your left thumb impression placed below it.

The exact text to write
“I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Replace the blank with your own name as it appears on your application. Write it in one continuous piece, not as a list, and keep it inside a strip roughly twice as wide as it is tall.
How to prepare it
- Take plain white paper and a black pen.
- Write the text above in your own handwriting, in English, in normal case — not capitals.
- Keep it within a band about 10 cm wide by 5 cm tall so it matches the required shape.
- Scan or photograph it straight on, then crop tightly using the tool above.
- Download at 800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB and upload it to the declaration slot — not the photo or signature slot.
IBPS warns separately that uploading a file into the wrong slot means you will not be allowed to sit the exam. Check each one before submitting.

Common questions
What exactly do I have to write?
Copy this wording exactly, replacing the blank with your name: "I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."
Can I write it in capital letters?
No. IBPS states it twice, and declarations in capitals are not accepted. Write in your normal handwriting — the same hand you would use for a letter.
Can someone else write it for me?
No. The declaration must be in your own handwriting. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded, or written in any language other than English, the guide says the application will be considered invalid. The one exception is for candidates who cannot write, who may type the text and place their left thumb impression below it.
Why does the file have to be 800 × 400 pixels?
That is 10 cm wide by 5 cm tall scanned at 200 DPI, which is what IBPS specifies. Write the declaration across a strip of that rough shape — wider than it is tall — so the crop does not have to cut words off.
My scan is over 100 KB. What do I do?
Use the tool above. It crops to 800 × 400 and finds the highest quality that lands inside 50–100 KB. Scanning in greyscale rather than colour also helps, since the declaration is only black ink on white paper.
